How to put the thanks back in Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving: a time to enjoy the company of others, a time to share what we are thankful for. What is thanksgiving now? A time to stress about food preparations and making the “perfect” meal. Here is a list of restaurants to be thankful for this thanksgiving as they will make your meal for you!
PALM SPRINGS:
Le Vallauris Restaurant: Offers three different dinner sittings between 3pm and 7:45 pm. You
will be served traditional favorites from pumpkin soup to turkey and pie. If none of these sounds
appetizing there are less than traditional options to choose from.
Copley’s on Palm Canyon: Iconic Dessert Emporium is also serving a thanksgiving feast this
year. Look forward to pumpkin tortellini, roasted turkey, and even delicious pecan-pie. There is
also an array of non-traditional dishes.
Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge: There is the traditional route, turkey; but there is also a
more enticing route serving duck and sea bass. Dessert selections include more than just a
mandatory pie but also pumpkin spice trifle.
Palm Springs Aerial Tramway & Peaks Restaurant: Trying to be a little more romantic? Ride
the Aerial Tram to the top of the mountain and dine at Peaks restaurant gazing over the valley.
NEW YORK:
Eleven Madison Park: Looking for an elegant and classy Thanksgiving evening? Head here and
enjoy the four-course menu that offers plenty of American classics with a twist. Some dishes
include chicken veloute with black truffles; scallops with uni and fennel; slow-cooked beef with
mushrooms; and pecan pie with malted ice cream for dessert.
The Breslin: April Bloomfield’s quaint gastropub is the temple for steaks, roasts, and terrines.
They offer a great 3-course holiday meal which includes choices like carrot soup with peanut and
parsley gremolata, roast beef with root vegetables, finishing the night with a festive pumpkin
cheese cake with cranberries topped with gingerbread ice cream.
The Polo Bar: Want a quick bite this holiday? Head to Ralph Lauren’s restaurant adjacent to his
5 th Avenue Polo Flagship. In addition to the normal menu, this A La Carte restaurant will offer
autumn vegetable salad with roasted winter squash; root vegetables with Pleasant Ridge Cheese;
heirloom turkey with maple bacon-roasted brussle sprouts; and so much more.
We encourage you to remember the reason for the season, to be thankful; and now there is no
need to stress over cooking! Head to one of these restaurants and indulge in good company,
wine, and most importantly food.
